I made this recipe many years ago back when I was working in daycare about 8 or so years ago. This cake was amazing to make as the cake sings while it's baking.
Here's what you'll need..
1 cup butter
2 cup brown sugar
3 separated eggs
2 squares of melted bitter chocolate
1 cup raisins
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
4 cups of sifted flour
1 cup strawberry jam
1 cup chopped nuts
2 teaspoons of baking powder mixed with 1 cup buttermilk
Now then let's bake it! Cream together the butter and the sugar.
Add the egg yolks and stir.
Then stir in the melted chocolate and stir in the raisins.
Then stir in the cinnamon, cloves and flour.
Then add the nuts and jam.
Lastly, quickly stir in the baking powder and buttermilk mixture and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into a greased and floured angelfoodcake pan and bake at 350 degrees until the cake stops singing.
About 45 minutes.
