Morgans Smoothies

So my eldest niece, Morgan showed up with a smoothie recipe that she had done in home economics class.
After I read the recipe I was a wee bit confused, but we followed it anyway.. let me just say it was a good thing I'm creative when it comes to being able to fix recipes.
In a blender combine together and blend on the highest setting until smooth.

1cup frozen fruit
1cup juice
1 cut up banana
1cup ice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (Optional)

Now then here's what happened.. We combined all of the above except for the juice and vanilla as the girls didn't want those.
By the time we were done we had a cold ice and not a smoothie.
So I added a cup and a half of vanilla yogurt to the mix and blended.
We also added some peanut butter to the mix as well and after adding those two to the mix the smoothie tasted so much better.
We also made this without the ice and yeah THAT was a good smoothie!

Yogurt or milk can be added to this to provide protein which is essential for breakfast.
1 tablespoon natural peanut butter or almond butter can be added to provide both protein and essential fat.
Flax seed can be added to provide omega 3 fatty acids and fiber.
Try a smoothie with 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa, 1 vanilla yogurt, 1 cup of ice and 2 tablespoons of honey.
